Biz Her Way Summit

From the Media Archive

This presentation reflects an earlier stage of my work, when I was speaking more broadly about Brainspotting, imposter syndrome, and business blocks. My current work uses SCAN to distinguish Strategy, Clarity, Alignment, and an Underlying Block before deciding what intervention is appropriate.

I was a featured speaker at the Biz Her Way Virtual Summit, hosted by Sacha Walton, where I presented a session on imposter syndrome, Brainspotting, and the ways internal reactions can interfere with visibility and action in business.

During the presentation, I shared the cauliflower analogy I use to explain Brainspotting, talked about why insight and mindset work do not always change a persistent reaction, and discussed some of the patterns entrepreneurs can experience when they are capable of taking an action but continue to stall around it.

My framework has become more precise since this summit. Today, I do not assume that imposter syndrome, fear, self-doubt, or procrastination automatically means someone has an Underlying Block. I first look at whether the Strategy is sound, whether the path is clear enough to execute, and whether the way the person is trying to execute actually fits. When those pieces hold up and the same specific interruption remains, that is when deeper block work becomes relevant.
