Frequently Asked Questions

Questions before you book? Start here.

You should understand what you are considering before you spend your time or money on it.

These are the questions I hear most often about execution problems, coaching, Brainspotting, time, cost, faith, and what working together actually looks like.

Jennie Hays, Execution Block Specialist
First Things First

Is this actually an internal execution block?

Maybe. But I do not assume that just because you are having trouble following through.

How do I know whether I have an internal execution block?

An internal execution block is one possibility, but it is not the only reason good intentions stop turning into action.

I look at four broad possibilities: strategy, structure, capacity, and an internal execution block.

If the strategy itself is wrong, we need to fix the strategy. If the workflow or expectations are unrealistic, we address the structure. If you genuinely do not have the time, information, skill, energy, or support the plan requires, that matters too.

An internal execution block becomes more likely when the practical pieces are workable, you have what you reasonably need, and your ability to execute changes around a particular action, decision, result, or situation.

What if the real problem is my strategy?

Then I want us to find that out.

I am not interested in doing internal block work on a strategy that does not make sense. Sometimes changing the strategy is exactly the right answer.

The question is what happens after the strategy becomes workable. If the same specific action, decision, or threshold keeps breaking down, then we need to look more closely at what is actually happening.

What if I do not know exactly what is wrong?

You do not need to.

You can come to me with something as simple as, “I know I need to do this, and I keep not doing it.”

Part of my job is helping you get specific enough to understand where the breakdown is occurring, whether the problem is practical or internal, and what may actually need to change.

What if more than one pattern is showing up?

That is common.

Perfectionism can feed analysis paralysis. Overwhelm can turn into productive procrastination. Imposter syndrome can show up around visibility or pricing. Functional freeze and self-sabotage can appear around very specific actions or thresholds.

The goal is not to collect labels. We want to identify what is happening, what is driving it, and whether the actual cause is strategy, structure, capacity, or an internal execution block.

What if I have tried coaching, courses, accountability, and better systems already?

That is often exactly why someone comes to me.

If you keep learning more, changing systems, hiring support, or trying another strategy and the same particular action still falls apart, more information may not be the missing piece.

I want to know what happens at the point where execution changes.

What if I am just someone who cannot follow through?

I would not make that conclusion from the fact that you are stuck somewhere.

I want to know whether you struggle to execute across your entire life, or whether your ability changes around certain decisions, actions, results, or situations.

If you are capable of executing in plenty of other areas, that tells us something important. We start there.

Before You Invest

What will this cost me in money and time?

Those are reasonable questions. Here are the actual numbers.

How much does it cost?

The best place to start is a Clarity Call so we can determine what, if anything, makes sense for the problem you are bringing me.

The Reset Starter Package is $497. It includes a focused 90-minute Brainspotting session and a 30-minute follow-up.

The 90-Day Execution Reset is $5,500 or three payments of $2,000.

If you begin with the Reset Starter Package and decide to continue into the 90-Day Execution Reset within 60 days, the $497 can be applied toward the Reset.

If neither option is appropriate, I will tell you that too.

How much time will this take?

That depends on which level of support makes sense for you.

Reset Starter Package

Two hours total: one 90-minute focused Brainspotting session and one 30-minute follow-up.

The 90-Day Execution Reset is more hands-on, especially at the beginning.

Start: Execution Mapping Session

One 60-minute session to get clear on where you want to go, what is happening now, what you have already tried, and where execution is breaking down.

First 4 weeks

Two 60-minute appointments each week.

Next 4 weeks

Two 60-minute appointments and four 30-minute appointments total.

Final 4 weeks

One 30-minute appointment each week.

That is approximately 15 hours together across the 90 days. The support is intentionally heavier at the beginning and decreases as you begin executing more independently.

Outside our sessions, I want you to have at least two hours a week available to work toward your goals.

That does not necessarily mean adding two new hours to your schedule. Much of that time may overlap with work you are already supposed to be doing: sending the email, making the offer, creating the content, having the conversation, making the decision, or completing the project.

The maximum is whatever you can reasonably do within your actual life and responsibilities. If you want to move faster and have the capacity to do more, we can move faster.

The goal is not to give you another full-time job called “working on your execution.” The goal is to help you spend more of the time you already have actually doing what needs to get done.

How do I know this will work for me?

I cannot promise you an outcome before we work together.

What I can tell you is that I do not begin by assuming you need coaching, Brainspotting, or internal block work.

We first look at what is actually causing the problem. Sometimes it is strategy. Sometimes it is structure or capacity. Sometimes there is an internal execution block.

The more accurately we identify the problem, the better chance we have of choosing an approach that actually fits it.

How quickly will I know whether something is changing?

I am looking for changes in what you can actually do, not just whether a session felt productive.

Depending on what we are working on, that might mean making the decision, publishing the offer, setting the price, sending the email, having the conversation, or following through on something that repeatedly stalled before.

The timeline varies, but we keep bringing the work back to observable change.

Do I have to commit to the full 90-Day Execution Reset?

No.

If you are not ready to make a 90-day commitment, the $497 Reset Starter Package gives us a focused place to begin.

If you decide afterward that the 90-Day Execution Reset makes sense, your $497 can be applied toward it when you continue within 60 days.

What if I do not have a perfectly defined 90-day goal yet?

You do not need one before we start.

That is part of the purpose of the Execution Mapping Session.

We look at where you are, where you want to go, what matters most, what keeps getting in the way, and what is realistic within your life and business.

We can get specific together.

Brainspotting + Faith

Practical work. Your whole self is still welcome.

Brainspotting is not energy work, and your faith does not have to disappear when we talk about business.

What is Brainspotting?

Brainspotting is a focused approach that uses eye position, focused attention, and what you notice in your body and mind.

I may use Brainspotting when the practical pieces are workable but an internal response is still preventing, changing, or making execution harder than the situation itself would suggest.

Brainspotting is one tool. It is not automatically the answer every time something feels stuck.

You can learn much more about the process on my Brainspotting page.

Is this energy work?

No. I do not do energy work.

My approach is practical and focused on what is getting in the way, what needs to change, and whether you are able to do something differently afterward.

Brainspotting uses eye position, focused attention, and what you notice in your body and mind. It is not energy work.

If energy work is specifically what you are looking for, I am happy to refer you to someone who does that well.

Can faith or prayer be part of our work together?

Absolutely.

My Christian faith is part of who I am, and I do not believe we have to pretend that part of ourselves disappears when we talk about business.

When it is appropriate and as you are comfortable, we can talk about faith or prayer as part of the work.

You get to bring your whole self into the room.

Do I have to be a Christian to work with you?

No.

The reality is that I will sometimes reference my Christian faith because it is part of who I am. But you do not have to share my beliefs to work with me.

We do not have to agree on politics, where to live, our favorite color, or faith for me to respect you and work well with you.

I can accept you for exactly who you are and honor your faith, beliefs, and values as part of the whole person you bring into the room.

Is Brainspotting okay for Christians?

Yes.

Brainspotting is not an energy practice. It is not mystical, occult, or a spiritual technique.

It uses eye position, focused attention, and awareness of what you notice in your body and mind.

As a Christian, I see that as working with the brain and body God created, not introducing another spiritual framework.

You do not have to adopt a different belief system to use Brainspotting.

Is Brainspotting therapy?

Brainspotting is used in a variety of professional settings by trained practitioners, including therapists.

My work with you is not psychotherapy. I am working with you as a coach and Brainspotting practitioner around the goals and execution problems we have agreed to address.

If what you need is mental-health treatment, diagnosis, crisis support, or something else outside my scope, I will tell you and recommend that you work with an appropriately licensed healthcare professional.

Do I have to believe in Brainspotting for it to be useful?

No.

You do not need to arrive with a particular theory about why it works.

I am interested in what you notice, what changes, and whether that change affects what you are actually able to do.

Working Together

What happens if I reach out?

What happens on a Clarity Call?

Bring me the thing you know you need to do but keep not doing.

We will talk about what is happening, what you have already tried, what you want instead, and what I think makes sense as a next step.

You do not need to decide whether the problem is strategy, structure, capacity, or an internal execution block before we talk.

You also do not need to decide whether coaching, Brainspotting, the 90-Day Reset, or something else is the right next step. That comes after we understand the problem.

What is the Execution Mapping Session?

The Execution Mapping Session is the first 60-minute session of the 90-Day Execution Reset.

This is where I get a much deeper understanding of where you want to go, what is happening now, what you have already tried, what matters in the rest of your life, and where execution is breaking down.

We use that information to decide what actually needs attention instead of jumping immediately into fixing.

Do you work virtually?

Yes. My work is virtual and sessions are held by Zoom.

Who do you work with?

I primarily work with coaches, consultants, service providers, entrepreneurs, and other business owners who know what they need to do but are having trouble consistently executing it.

The business matters, but I do not work with you as though you are only a business owner. Your relationships, responsibilities, faith, values, priorities, capacity, and the life you are trying to build all matter too.

What if you do not think you are the right person to help me?

I will tell you.

I would rather give you a clear answer than sell you the wrong solution.

If I know someone who is better suited to what you need, I am happy to point you in that direction when I can.

Still Not Sure?

You do not need to choose the solution before we identify the problem.

Start with the thing that keeps getting stuck.

You can tell me what you think is happening, what you have already tried, and what you wish were different. We will take it from there.

You do not need to decide whether Brainspotting is the answer.

You do not need a perfect 90-day plan.

We start by figuring out what is actually going on.
