Linked by Design Entrepreneurial Truth

From the Media Archive

This interview reflects an earlier stage of my work, when I was speaking more broadly about Brainspotting and emotional blocks in business. My current work uses SCAN to distinguish Strategy, Clarity, Alignment, and an Underlying Block before deciding what intervention is appropriate.

I joined Kesi Case on Linked by Design Entrepreneurial Truth for a conversation about Brainspotting, entrepreneurship, self-doubt, visibility, and what can happen when someone has invested in plenty of business knowledge but still struggles to turn that knowledge into consistent action.

I shared parts of my own experience of buying programs, learning strategies, and still getting stuck when it was time to implement them in my own business. We also talked about Brainspotting and the role internal reactions can play when a capable entrepreneur repeatedly stalls around particular actions.

My framework has become more precise since this interview. Today, I do not assume that stalled execution means there is an emotional or internal block. I first look at whether the Strategy is sound, whether the path is clear enough to execute, and whether the way the person is trying to execute actually fits. When those pieces hold up and the same specific interruption remains, that is when an Underlying Block becomes relevant.
